What do I need to make about 450 HP?

I have a 1972 chevelle with a 383 stroker. It has an aftermarket cam, edelbrock carb, high rise manifold, and thats about all I know of. Anyway, like any person recently introduced to muscle cars, I want more power. I want to stay in the high torque range. I was talking to my dads mechanic and he said a cam, lifter kit, heads (I think), holley carb, and a few other things would help my car make more power. He didn't say how much I was or will be making but I need a holley carb (not sure which one to buy. Thinking of a 750 double pumper) and I need to know what kind of cam to put in it to make about 450 horsepower. Also, what else do I need to make sure everything in the engine is running smoothly? And I want a tire shredder! Thanks! Oh I don't want to break the bank either. I know fast and gas friendly isn't ever the case but Im running 3.08 gears since its an everyday driver and I need to make sure I don't burn through gas too fast.
